◇ ─── JSSF Competition 2013 ─── ◇

Hai-hai, my lovely peas~! So last Saturday was the day of the Jersey Shore Science Fair Competition 2013~! Otherwise known as JSSF! I actually hadn't finished my experimentation until the Tuesday before that weekend, and then I was busy on Wednesday and Thursday, so I had to finish my entire tri-board on Saturday night. Needless to say, I did not go to bed until 3 in the morning. Therefore, I missed the bus at 6:45 AM and so my parents had to drive me all the way down to Richard Stockton College where JSSF was being held. I got there at 9:15 and judging had already started. THANK GOD, I got there in the nick of time and was just in time for my judging. I'm not the strongest public speaker so my presentation was horrible, but I did manage to get the key points of my research in. My research was on the effect of fertilizer on the respiratory rate of peas. It wasn't anything substantial, but it was research that could have a big impact on world hunger because if you figure out the optimal concentration of fertilizer with which to grow crops, then we can assume that there would be a greater output of crops which would really help third-world countries like Africa since they do not have the abundance of crops that we do in America. Well, I guess my project didn't really impress the judges too much. I didn't win, nor did I get an honorable mention. le sigh~! Always next year, although this year was the most important since colleges won't care if I win next year because my applications will already be sent in. Oh well~ I have other competitions to worry about anyways like TSA in April!!! I NEED TO GET TO WORK ON THAT! I'll make another post soon! Probably a vlog!

did not win Q-Q
my tri-fold~! Isn't it beautiful?!
I did this in the span of 5:00 pm to 3:00 am.
If there were an award for most awesome tri-fold,
I'd probably get it :3 I'm just saying.
But seriously, I put a lot of work into this. Q-Q

Track and PR.•´¸.•*´¨) ¸.•*¨

Hai Hai Everyone \(>v<) So as of now Miki's been keeping track of her of times for track meets and other races, time trials, etc. On Wednesday we ran our 300 meter time trial and Miki broke her personal record by a little over a second \(^O^) Since I do sprint, every second counts...a lot (>A<) Which is why this usagi was really happy and content with her time x3 I know I'm not fast fast like the top girls, but still I'm at a decent place :) The coaches posted the chart yesterday with our times in order from fastest to slowest, and guess what? Miki ranked 17 out of the 65 girls who actually ran (some of them went in the locker room and never came back out just to avoid the time trial -___-") Anyways this is just for the 300 meter, and there's a lot of girls who do faster on the 200 meter run, but Miki will work hard and attempt to make it to every practice to keep up the pace \(=w=) On the downside, there's a stupid commitment chart now...everyone has to check in on the paper everyday and those who are not "active" might get kicked off the team (x_x)
I'll be more motivated if this was real x3

Happy Camp.•´¸.•*´¨) ¸.•*¨

Nihao \(>v<)/ So as I've mentioned before "Happy Camp" is a Chinese variety show that's quite popular in China :) The hosts are so funny and adorable (>3<) To me, they are entertainers who truly enjoy and take part in their job to bring happiness and smiles to others (^-^)/ I know I always find myself laughing whenever I watch the show x3 Miki became a EXO fan too because they were featured on "Happy Camp" :D Huhu~ So yeah the episodes of this show features stars from all over Asia whether it's China, Korea, Japan, Thai, etc. To go down the list would take hours so I'm just going to post some pictures of guests from South Korea :) This was also the thing Miki was "Kyaa-ing" about in the chatbox...MissA members were in one of the recent episode <3 Oh so basically fans get to see their idol and the rest the audience gets to know them too...The guest(s) sometimes sit and interact with the hosts, play game, perform their songs/dances, etc. (plus a cool science experiment segment towards the end) Lots of fun and joy for everyone, I guarantee it :) ...There's a picture of the hosts on the bottom, the third one from the left is a former host...They always wear matching outfits too x3

Guests In Picture Order
Kim Hyun Joong, Jang Geun Suk, Exo, F(x), MissA, (Han Geng) Super Junior-M
...(and some others that I forgot)

♪─── hai-hai, long time no see ────♪

Hai-hai, minna~!! There's so much I want to say! It's been so long since my last blogpost. I wish I could find more time to write blogposts. It's really fun, like a diary that I get to share with you guys. Anyways, first things first, I'm actually writing this while I'm on duty at the first aid squad in Marlboro. Yes yes! Mika is now officially a first aid cadet going around and saving lives!!! Sort of...I just get to help the adults if we get a call. It's my first day on the job today and my shift is from six to nine o clock~! Oh so busy >O< I really think I've bitten off more than I can chew this year with all my activities but I am determined to stick it through and get everything done. Although, I don't know if I'll be able to handle it mentally. As Miki already knows, I've had quite a few breakdowns recently because I'm so busy. I'm just so tired and it feels like I never get any rest, but I guess that's my fault. (And plus, I get a lot of sleep since I nap all the time for very long periods at a time) ughhhh~!!! I need to stop complaining whenever I write blogposts!! Why do I do that all the time? HWAT IS WRONG WITH MEHHH?!!!! Well, I'll stop complaining at the end of June when school ends and I'm free from the prison that is high school...and then I'll have to start again next year. Le sigh~ but seriously...only four more months of school. I'm kind of excited ^O^ March and April will be the worst months because there are so many competitions to prepare for and then May will be bad because my IB exams are on the 9th, 10th, and 16th. And then June of course is finals month so everyone is dying.
On another note, because it is HSPA week I've had little to no homework. The math portion was so ridiculously easy. My friend and I were like giving each other looks that said "Are these people serious? Who doesn't know this?" Especially because the reference sheet they give you literally has everything you would want to know for this test...it's like cheating almost. Anyways, I've had a lot of free time so I've been playing Eden Eternal A LOT. I made a new character "KitsuneJenni" and made her a thief class. I'm going to try to max out the thief class stats and become awesome~!! Pfft. I've also been playing this Nintendo3DS game called "Fire Emblem." My friend, Sean let me borrow his 3DS and the game because I wanted to play, so he was like "You can just borrow it during HSPA week since we don't have a lot of work." He's super awesome!!! The game is pretty interesting and there are some cute and funny scenes between the main character and my character. It's essentially a non-MMO RPG.
I've also been watching A LOT of anime. I've re-watched Lucky Star...TWICE! And then I started watching two new ones. Miki actually got me hooked on one called "Mondaiji-tachi ga...something or other" and it super fun! I currently love it a lot! Iyazoi is my favorite along with the short red-orange haired girl. SO ADORABLE!!! I also started watching one called "Tamako Market" because two of my school friends Deeya an Kathy got me hooked! I also really love it! You guys should try it. It'll make you laugh so much! Deeya and Kathy are super adorable and if you two ever met them, I'm sure you'd like them too. We're going to have a mochi party because we can~!! *^O^*
Last topic! EXERCISE! Yes, my friends! I have officially started exercising...sort of. My mom drives me to school in the morning but when I come home, I go on the bus. The bus drops me off at the front of my development which is about a mile away from my house so I walk a mile everyday of the week except weekends and Thursday. I wish that the distance was more, but what can I do? Maybe I'll walk home, back to the front of the development, and back home again for a total of three and a half miles, I'd get home at like four o clock...what do you guys think? Think the exercise is worth getting home an hour late? peh. On the weekends I play tennis and every day I try to hula hoop for about ten minutes or so. I've also cut down on the amount of food that I eat. Hopefully I'll be able to lose some weight before May because that's when my cousin's wedding is.
Well, that's all for now really. Talk to you guys again soon~!!

She Said Yes.•´¸.•*´¨) ¸.•*¨

Oh Laura trying to keep in her smile \(>_6)
Mwha~ Nihao everyone~ (>w<)/ So I actually wrote this on March 1st, but I never posted it so yeah...everything that says "today" actually refers to last Friday~ To start off, remember how I said someone was going to ask my friend Kendra to prom? Well it finally happened today <3 It was afterschool during Kpop and originally (M) was suppose to practice/show us today what he's got down so far for the intro to Genie...but obviously that didn't happen. He's technically taking IU's role in Dream High by playing the opening for Genie on his guitar before the Genie girls come out to perform for Kpop :3 So (M) actually did start out by playing Genie on his guitar, but then it turned into an intro to "Will you go to prom with me?" type of song xD Anyways going back to the song itself, (M) actually got interrupted twice; once by an announcement, and a second time by a teacher who suddenly walked out from the door right next to him...le facepalm* heheh~ so yeah to be honest it was pretty funny, but hey this light and happy feeling suits them better you know :) The song wasn't anything serious, but it was simple, sweet, and cute~ He gave her a bundle of roses and she hugged him which mean yes, but she kind of forgot to say yes until one of us mentioned it to her haha xD Basically everyone knew about it and so did Kendra, but she didn't actually know what he was going to do...still everyone came to watch even if they weren't even in Kpop, it was just a moment everyone had to witness huhu~ Here's the video of what happened that day if you want to watch :) But I'll probably take it off once you two see it...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqoqkTVpAmc
As for Nu Abo and the results of our mediocre practices...well here it is...
1st practice= First half of the song (>v<)
2nd practice= Second half of the song (^-^)
3rd practice= I didn't go cause I left school early that day...not that I actually missed anything... (=A=)
4th practice= Briefly went over the positions (6_6)
5th practice= Touched up on some stuff that I'm still working on (x_x)...we only went over the song once together today (T___T) The five of us are getting less time to practice each time cause three of our Nu Abo girls also have to practice for the song "Replay" which I feel is more organized despite the fact that they don't have the whole song down yet like us :/ Anyways, Miki took a short video of her attempt x3 Will show you two once we all get on skype/oovoo :)
